Hickory Hill Motel

Sad to say that we won’t be back to the Hickory Hill Motel again. The room and overall property was very tired and not clean (dead bugs on the floor and hair on the towels when we arrived!). The road noise is pretty bad. No coffee available in the room and though they say the lobby is open at 7:00 for coffee, the owner didn’t arrive to open and make coffee until around 7:30 both days we were there. The hot water was not reliable. All this might be acceptable for a room rate of $60/night. But definitely not at $120/night after tax.

I was traveling through town as I often do. This time I needed to stop for the night. I attempted to go to a chain hotel in town, but quickly realized that they were probably sold out. Lots of fancy and vintage farm equipment in their lot.|I called to verify my suspicions. |Sold out. |The clerk told me of Hickory Hill Motel, saying it was under new ownership. |I called, and when they answered I could hear the smile over the phone. |I saidthat I was in need of a room, and explained that I had a very large commercial vehicle. |THEY ARE NOT SET UP TO HANDLE LARGE COMMERCIAL VEHICLES.|The owner said he would do everything possible to accommodate me. |Upon arrival, he was out there directing me and being extremely helpful. |After quite a bit of maneuvering, I got parked.|Check-in was a breeze,

Manager/Owner advertise on the radio that they will work with you but not true! She has different rules and for each resident that checks in! Then 5 minutes later they all change again! And the rooms are not that clean or safe for anyone that's handicapped! Besides She also charges different amounts to each different person! And if you end up pissing her off to much she bands you from the property and threaten to call the cops onyou

The motel itself is impressively clean! I highly recommend this motel to anyone looking for a pleasant and affordable stay. With the new ownership dedicated to maintaining high standards, it’s sure to become a favorite for many travelers. I look forward to returning on my next visit

We stayed at Hickory Hills 2 weekends in a row for a family event. 2 king rooms the first weekend and 3 king rooms the next. This no frills motel is SUPER clean ! The beds were comfortable and linens were crisp and clean in all the rooms. Chad was so friendly and was so kind to my family❤️. This is a small family run business which we love to support. We enjoyed our visit both times, and would not hesitate to stay there again next time we’re in town !! Thanks Chad !!
