Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Kingsland

We prepaid hours in advance and arrived around 11 pm after a long drive. The front desk was empty. A sign said the clerk would “return shortly.” He did not. After waiting, I called the toll-free number and initially thought I was speaking to a real person, but it quickly became clear I was getting scripted responses and no actual help. After about 20 minutes, I went back to the car to try another number. My husband went inside, started opening doors and calling out “Hello?” to see if the hotel was actually staffed. A few minutes later, a man pulled up. I asked if he worked there. He said yes and walked straight inside. That was the front desk clerk. From arrival to check-in took almost half an hour, most of it spent waiting for him to show up. We finally got into our room close to 11:30

Positive: The hotel had very friendly staff. It was also a great location as it sat right off of 95. Negative: Seemed outdated. Shower was really weird...felt like a locker room shower...did not like. Also, would have appreciated daily room service. We constantly had to ask for fresh towels and need TP by the end of our stay too.

Booked thru Hotwire but didn’t even stay after seeing state of rooms. Rooms were strangely propped open with furniture and coffee table was on the couch. Rooms reeked of mildew. One of us got bit by a flea upon entering room. Tried multiple rooms and all had strong mold/mildew smell. The place looks normal on the outside but inside was pretty awful. We ended up just leaving and not even staying there. Not sure how a big name like Wyndam has their name attached to this place. The interior is very outdated and looks original to when it was built. Desperately needs mildew/mold issue addressed and a full strip down renovation.

When I got here the room was dirty and infested with cockroaches. Then my son started getting little bite marks on his legs. The bathroom and kitchen sink both don’t stop dripping. Talked to the manager and he made a bunch of empty promises. Let him know that it there was fleas in the room and didn’t do anything about it. Worst place I’ve stayed in. Would not recommend unless you like living with roaches and fleas!! The second photo was just this morning. Seen a section 8 house looking better than this.

Idk i like it nice and cool love the pool. Sevice eh I dunno i never ask. Location is kinda cramped but the room is amazing worth it if u want a nice apartment stay👏
