Hart Ranch Camping Resort

horrible experience. they’ve really gone down hill-their focus is $$ only bc their memberships have gone down and once you become a member, your hit with fees and rules that seem to have no end. we decided to sell our membership, found a buyer for it, but then they refused to let us sell it without their involvement and tacked on $2000 in fees to transfer ownership. there are so many other beautiful places in the black hills that will treat you better. the campground itself lacks anything unique for the price. highly suggest you find something different.

We came in late without a reservation or membership. By the entrance was a service number to call. It was answered right away and Matt, a very friendly on call staff member came by right away. He assured us of a vacancy showed us several options, then guided us to a spot that would work well with our old dog. We had a wonderful overnight stay. The grounds are well lit, but not too bright. Everything was exceptionally clean and well tended including the great showers and restrooms. Lots are completely level, and prices very reasonable, especially considering all the services and amenities that have been described elsewhere. Highly recommend!

Apparently this is actually some sort of "membership" situation, although we were not members and able to stay; nice concrete pads, good sized sites with nice trees. restrooms looked ok and laundry facilities were nice; it did say to pay for the laundry you had to download an app...but if you used the ones near the pool you could pay with your credit or debit card..which actually worked well. Small store/gift shop, pretty quiet at night, strict with speed limit..which is ok. And it's located not far from Custer, Rapid City etc. Best of all...they have a gas pump right there in the campground; never seen that before and the prices were spot on..we would expect them to be higher but they weren't. We would stay here again.

Hart Ranch is a fabulous members only camping resort. The amenities are plentiful, the staff are wonderful, and the lots are beautiful. Whether you are looking to use one of their beautiful cabins or need a pad to park your RV it is the place to go in the Rapid City area

They have a female driving around in a rent a cop van that harassed my daughter about having a flag on her bike and that no one could see her. I said the speed limit is 10 mph and her stand up bike is visible, but that just made her more enraged that some one would question her. This is typical of Hart Ranch locations as they hire retired folk who have little empathy for children or normal living. Pretty gross experience.
