Harbor Inn & Suites Oceanside

The location is the only thing going for it. This place is an absolute DUMP. I didn't expect the Ritz-Carlton for 65 dollars a night, but this place is a disaster. I genuinely don't think that the room had been cleaned after the previous guest. The bedding wasn't clean. The toilet seat had pee on it. There is damage to the walls and ceiling, all over, hastily repaired. The shower leaked all over my bathroom and out into the main room. I went to the front desk to ask for more towels, and no one was on duty. This morning, I saw a roach in the ice bucket, which was also filthy. As someone who has a phobia of germs and things not being clean, this was not a good time ☹️

Positive: Clean floor and clean sheets comfortable bed good tv. Negative: Room was old and has had heavy use. Needs lots of repairs.

The motel is right off I5. The free way traffic noise is really loud. The room is very unwelcoming. The walls and furniture are all scuffed up. The TV is barely attached to the wall and lampshade looks like it has lipstick on it. The one wall is a crazy bright red. The door handle has gone through the wall. The bathroom has stucco on the inside. There is a fridge that seems to work. I think I the sheets are clean. The ac seems to work. It smelled clean when I opened the door. The door seems solid with a good lock. The man at the desk was polite and welcoming. But would not allow me to shorten my stay and get a refund. Don’t stay here. I would not come back. I may just forfeit my second night.

Start by saying I'd probably stay again but you have to know what to expect and maybe all rooms are not created equal. It is what it is, im glad there is a low cost room in a nice area. Needs some work. Right next to freeway and my room faced the freeway so sounded like I was staying at a race track.

This place has bugs! We found a spider in the restroom and a roach on our nightstand! I was quick to kill it. The place is a bit run down but having bugs in the room was too much for us. Unfortunately I don't think I will be staying here again, we'll be sleeping with the lights on for now. We have one more day God help us!
