Happy Acres Campground

Very nice campground. The sites are well spaced, level, and have what looks like new electric, water and sewer hookups. Everything from the landscaping to the buildings to the pool are all very well maintained and clean. Check-in was easy and even included a personalized campground map. They even had a nice personalized tag already on our campsite # sign that was laminated. After setting up went to office for a restaurant recommendation. Very nice staff, met the owners and following their advice had a excellent dinner. It is obvious the owners and staff take pride in their campground. It was a perfect stop as we were heading back home from the U.P. of MI. We will definitely be back next time we pass through the area.

This is truly one if the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in! The staff was great and there is lush grass and landscaping throughout! The dog park is great and provides 2 places to sit- a picnic table and a nice swing with cushions. The sites are gravel and have a concrete patio. There is plenty of shade too! We slso noticed that there are a lot of fun amenities which we did not get a chance to use.

My wife and I typically stop at Happy Acres at the end of the camping season on our way home to Grand Rapids, MI so we can empty out our holding tanks , enjoy one last night camping and have a short drive back home. The campground has made a number of really nice upgrades over the last 2 years. The upgraded concrete pads with gravel drive, new electric pedestals and sewer connections are top grade. We are typically too late in the season to enjoy the pool and other activities, but they offer a lot of great events throughout the summer. Very clean and meet the standards that many campers are looking for.

Amy and the staff were absolutely amazing. The battery in our smoke detector, in our camper, went bad during our stay and was driving us crazy. I went down to the camp store, and they were not due to open for another couple hours. When they saw that I needed something, they chased me down and was more than willing to go back to their shop and get a battery for me. The grounds are super clean and the lot sizes are very nice. We definitely will be back.

This place is great! The I couldn't be there before they closed and would be checking in around 7:30pm. They had everything ready for us and pinned to a board outside for us to access. No issues on checking in or out. The site was nice anlevel and plenty latg enough for our truck and trailer. The water has plenty of pressure and the electric is nice and new and easy to get to,as is the septic. They have lots of spaces. They also have games and entertainment for all who come. The bathrooms were larg and spacious with a stand up shower in them with 24hr access. I didn't use the laundry but they do have it here to use. They close to the hyway so it is a little noisy at night but not bad. This was definitely put on my stay here list when coming through.
