Hampton Inn & Suites Vero Beach Downtown

I hate to leave poor reviews, but unfortunately I did not have the best experience yesterday 3/4/2026. I arrived to the hotel close to midnight. The receptionist was very friendly and professional. I arrived to the room and did my normal quick inspection for cleanliness and bedbugs. The room wasn’t very clean, but it wasn’t filthy either. I was very tired and the hotel seemed to be full. I was woken up about an hour and half later from being bitten. I quickly jumped up and looked through the sheets and covers and found a bedbug. I notified the front desk immediately. He was very apologetic and offered a different room, but it was right next door to the room that had bed bugs. I also didn’t feel comfortable staying in the hotel after the encounter. This spotless property has to be the flagship of Hampton Inns. It is in the downtown area of Vero Beach, only a couple of blocks from Indian River Boulevard (which quickly leads to the two bridges that access the ocean area of Vero). The property is so well maintained it seems brand new. The lobby was perfectly decorated for Christmas. The staff is extremely diligent and helpful. The breakfasts were fine. The pillows and beds induced restful sleep. There is a nice outdoor pool. We stayed four relaxing nights while visiting family in Vero. Well done!

I switched to this Hampton to be closer to family. It is more expensive due to location, but it is also newer. The lobby is expansive with plenty of seating. Fitness center is large with great equipment offerings including TRX and plyo boxes. The breakfast seemed a little more expansive than most Hamptons but the OJ was broken! I selected a King Suite due to no standard rooms being available. Room is huge and bed was extremely comfortable. The only disappointing thing is for $300+ per night, there is no liquid soap for hands or body. I prefer liquid and was shocked to see just bar soap at sink and in shower. My digital key frequently errored out, but otherwise the hotel is nice!

This is a great hotel, and actually the best hampton inn I have ever stayed. Rooms are new and bright, and have great tv and ac. The people that work here are amazingly nice and helpful. I am an ambassador member at marriott and have changed my allegiance to Hilton based on this stay to reach their new diamond reserved level.
