Hampton Inn & Suites Sharon

The hotel needs an update very badly. It felt very dirty and had pretty pungent odors throughout the hallway and in the room. The service was good, it’s just the overall grunge of the place was hard to get past. Hampton Inn needs to upgrade this one.

We did not have a very good experience at this hotel. We were there for a nearby wedding. We arrived at 1:15 PM, knowing that check-in was at 3, but the nuptials started at 3:30. I asked the man at the desk if we could just put our suitcase in a backroom, and he said no. Okay, can we just check in now, so we don't have to do it at 10:00. Again, we were told no. He was very rude and not welcoming at all. After the wedding, there was a different person behind the desk. She was also rude and seemed bothered by me, warning me not to be noisy in the halls. I guess because I asked where the meeting room was, as we had supplies from the wedding to drop off. I checked in and went upstairs, while my husband was dropping things off in the meeting room. Clean spacious room (my family was given a handicap accessible room despite not needing that side of things and it was very spacious and a great option for our family). Staff was very helpful. Continental breakfast was varied and filling! Very good food. We've stayed places where they claim to serve a Continental breakfast that really fell flat but this one was excellent! The pool was great for the kids to enjoy after a day on the road.

The room was very cozy but comfy and clean. The breakfast was really good and the staff are nice.

It is confusing to get to. The building is old and the rooms are tired, worn and stained. There is thick dust on the lower shelves. You should try some other property until they get this one renovated.
