Hampton Inn & Suites Seneca-Clemson Area

Stayed here a few nights for business. Hotel overall is a little dark in color. Lights in the room were not all the same colors/brightness. The gym had a good bit of equipment. But part of the cable machine was broken and there were not towels in the cubbies. Breakfast selection was decent, but could provide better options.

The sink in my bathroom is hands down the slowest draining one ever. The color patterns of the tile in the shower make it look dirty, yellow blemishes with black dots. No idea who approved that with confidence. The stainless steel trim of the light in the bathroom is rusted. Every outlet in the room is loose when you plug in chargers. The beds are just alright, same with the pillows. To be such a highly rated hotel, it definitely leaves you expecting more.

After staying here, I don't think we will ever stay at another Hampton Inn again. The carpet had a large hole in the middle of the floor, the furniture was in bad condition, we had to press stop on the microwave instead of start to get it to work....which took some time to figure out, and the shower floor was cracked. I kept thinking it can't get worse until the cockroach crawled across the floor in the bathroom.

Good value for the room size; rooms are decently clean. First room we walked into smelled like dog urine so asked to move to a diff room. Front desk was prompt and quick to move us. Rooms could use minor fixes (fridge in the original room wasn’t affixed so just opening the handle moved the entire fridge itself; our current room toilet handle doesn’t seat properly so you gotta jiggle it to prevent the water from continuously running).
