Hampton Inn & Suites Enid

Disappointing...had to cancel a reservation later than per policy due to a Hospice worker no show carrying for a very sick relative who was without his over night medical assistance. Called the hotel and they were not at all sensitive to my situation stating that I would still be charged for the night. The relative that I cared for that evening is a long time resident and a highly decorated career veteran of the US Army, now 88 years old. I asked the day manager to make the management team aware of my unusual circumstance, she indicated that the hotel ownership was not local and would not be interested in my situation and would not support my request for a one night refund. This is the fourth time I’ve stayed in this particular hotel. And I stayed here a year ago. The previous three visits were positive. It is crazy how far it has fallen in twelve months. The maintenance has fallen off to a standard well below the Hampton Inn brand standards. The room was okay but not well maintained. The pool, hot tub and gym have done way down hill from previous stays.

I absolutely love this hotel! The rooms are clean, it has an indoor pool, it is pet friendly, and a free breakfast. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I would have given 5 stars but there was one problem. The last (Shelia) in the breakfast area on the weekdays is very rude. She yelled at my daughter and told her she was too young to be cooking her own waffles. My daughter is 9 and cooks a lot at home. I reported it to the front desk. The next time we saw her she was just as rude but I found out she had just gotten reprimanded for the first encounter. Apparently she doesn't understand the idea of "customer service". The weekend lady, Tracy, is was amazing!!! I will return to this hotel! Thanks Hampton!

Don't waste you time staying here. I am a lifetime diamond member with Hilton and will not stay here again. Bugs on the floor of my room and the lobby entry. Ice machine didn't work. Sink in bathroom would not drain. No house keeping for entire stay even though signs say every other day. Attitude from house keeping manager (Doris). Manager (Kristi) would not return calls. Once I finally got ahold of her after we checked out, she didn't care. The front desk staff was polite but could only refer me to discuss with the manager. They indicated that the hotel was due for a remodel but unless policies and attitudes change, it will not get better.
