Hampton Inn & Suites Duluth North / Mall Area

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Very clean. Room was a comfortable size. Sofa and bed were both good places to sleep and the two ottomans provided made TV watching cozy. There's a good-sized desk for two people to work on their laptops. The view out the back of the hotel is exceptional, all beautiful trees. We've always stayed in Canal Park but they've become so expensive it's out of our reach. This hotel is far more reasonable. We'll stay here again. BONUS: Driving toward town at sunrise and at sunset, you get a gorgeous overview of the Lake. Everything is so accessible from the hotel. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

I've stayed at this location a couple times. It's near plenty of restaurants and shopping, affordable rates, and a pretty good hot complimentary breakfast. Rooms are spacious and staff have always been helpful. Have dealt with a few issues in rooms but again staff were responsive (ex: outlet stopped working for mini fridge and microwave). Will likely stay there again.

The location was unbeatable close to the main areas of Duluth with plenty of nearby amenities. Customer service was excellent and truly the highlight of our stay. However, the hotel itself is in need of some updates and care, as the facility feels tired and worn. The staff are doing their best with what they have, but the rooms could definitely benefit from new carpeting and general touch-ups, as they felt a bit dingy. There was a noticeable pet odor, and the room never felt entirely clean, likely due to the property being pet-friendly. The upholstery of the couch could use steamcleaning and the bed was quite uncomfortable (mattress needs a good rotating or replacing). When we arrived at 3pm for our check in during a snowstorm it was packed in the lobby. I was dragging another wait after a long day of traveling. Alexis was able to take care of at least 5 reservations in a short time. Very polite and friendly. She later told me that she was working past her shift until her relief arrived. Even with that extra stress she was a lovely representative of Hampton Inn.
