Hampton Inn & Suites Downers Grove Chicago

I am very disappointed by what happened at check-in Monday Oct 20, 2025. I arrived and there was only 1 person ahead of me. I checked in and saw that I was not given the room that I checked into online. I asked the clerk if there were any rooms available on the same floor that I had chosen when i did the online check in. He said I would have to wait until he helped everyone else in line. By that time there were 7 people behind me. This was extremely rude. I'm very disappointed. I will NOT stay here again, nor will anyone from my organization. The clerk obviously did not know that i choose the hotels we stay in. But that should not make a difference. Its a shame because the room itself was nice. But the rudeness and total disregard with which i was treated makes this a 100% no in the futur

I fully enjoyed my stay here. We got a good deal on the weekend and everything surpassed expectations. There is plenty of parking, Friday night was busy but still had ample parking left, even if there’s a small walk. The hotel is big in size and if you’re the type of person that gets anxious with human contact, there’s a way to check in online and get to your door with just a digital key. We got a one bedroom on the top floor, spacious and clean, with a welcoming greeting on their television. It’s equipped with two TVs, one inside and outside the bedroom, minifridge, a view of the outside world, wish we could have stayed longer. The check out was easy as well, we did that digitally and was out in 2 seconds. They also have a restaurant bar located inside, we never got the chance to use it,

Positive: Room layout was good. Patio door opens which is nice for fresh breeze. Complimentary breakfast had a decent selection and was fresh. Negative: Confusion around check-in. Front desk was an absolute failure. No priority to make it easier for the customer, just repeated "that's not our policy and we can't". Lots of issues with their technology during check in. Took forever. Mold in AC vents.

This is my go-to stay for any visits to Downers Grove. Would highly recommend, especially the generous room size and easy breakfast timings. Staff is extremely hospitable; special call out to Josue

Keep tight to your love ones if you stay here! They changed over from Marriott. I went during remodeling, I had to wash and what I saw let's just say stay clear! I checked out immediately, I vaule my life over the nights fee! New staff for a reason. Stay safe!
