Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Mesquite

We enjoyed this hotel but the kids low toilet was horrible why????? 😳 The bed was firm n comfortable. The room was large and modern. Loved the balcony. Street noise finally let up around 10pm. Left door open for fresh air. First room TV did not work, had to change rooms. Maintenance wasn't in to help us.

My husband and I have always stayed here on our way to Mexico and when we returned. We have always stayed on the 4th floor with our dog. When I called to make the reservation, I said I would like the 4th floor suit with a balcony over looking the beautiful valley. I said I was bringing my dog and how much he enjoyed laying on the deck overlooking the valley. No problem, I was told. However, when I checked in, suddenly the rules have changed(I only booked a few weeks ago) and now we are on the ground floor, view of the parking lot and the room is certainly NOT a suit. We always try to get here early so we can sip on some wine on our balcony. Now we look at cars in the parking lot. I asked to speak to the manager ON DUTY and was told she won’t be here till Tuesday. I really wanted to like this hotel because much of the property is clean and comfortable, and the rooms are what you’d expect from a Hampton Inn. Unfortunately, the pool area was a huge disappointment and completely changed my experience. The hot tub felt more like lukewarm bathwater than a properly maintained spa. With construction ongoing, no relaxing ambiance, and the area nothing like the photos online, the outdoor space felt neglected instead of inviting. On top of that, the doors in the hall were constantly slamming, making it hard to relax anywhere. I used all my Hilton points plus paid an additional $200 for two nights, mainly to enjoy lounging by the pool in warm 80° weather. That was the main reason for my stay, and it simply didn’t deliver. The room had not been cleaned before we checked in (moldy pizza in the ice bucket and food in the fridge) and the A/C was leaking water all over the carpet. The beds were advertised as queens and were only full size beds. Lastly the one day they would give us room service they didn’t service the room and when we asked for clean towels they told us there were no more clean towels in the hotel. The location is good and the pool and hot tub are nice.

Positive: Staff was wonderful. I came in late and the associate took such good care of me. I appreciated it so very much. Negative: access was dubious. not enough signs. I thought I was going to the rear enterance.
