We stayed here on 12/30 on our way home. In the morning there was a big crowd of people for breakfast. As you can see, there was not a lot to eat as everything was gone so quickly from the crowd. It took a long time for them to refill anything. The room looked and felt old and dated. The lightening in the room was dark. The bathroom floor near the toilet looked like it had some sort of growth or mold. We stayed only one night so didn’t do or say anything as we got there late and left early in the morning. Will probably venture further into town next time through.
This is one of the friendliest Hamptons that I have ever been to! I only stay at Hilton’s and I do a lot of traveling. I’d like to give a shout out to Virginia whom is the breakfast cook! She was very friendly, she was on the ball making sure everything was stalked, went around asking people if they needed anything. Her service was the most excellent I have ever came across! To the Hilton family I hope you keep her and treat her right. Good employees are hard to come by!
This is old and in desperate need of an upgrade. The only hotel open on a road that had 5 hotels on it and they were all in bad shape. The decor looks like the 70s threw up in the lobby and the rooms. The beds need to be replaced and all hotels need to start turning mattresses or spending more money for better quality furniture. The blinds didn’t open in our room and there were loose tiles in the bathroom, which is oh so great for someone that uses mobility aids. Everything in this hotel needs to be replace and upgraded. The pool area was nice though, even though like most of the their indoor pools, it was freezing cold.
Positive: Continental breakfast! Negative: Needs to update furniture in rooms.
The hotel is supposed to be going through a remodel. I saw none of that but it is a dump. The tile in the restroom was lose, wallpaper was falling off the wall, the shower water pressure changed when someone was using the restroom in one of the other rooms, the floor was nasty and the area is pretty sketchy. I am a Hilton Honors member and trusted a Hampton Inn to be ok, but I wouldn't stay again for free. I will say the hotel staff were great. The condition of the hotel wasn't their fault.
