Hampton Inn South Kingstown - Newport Area

HOTEL LOST POWER (NO HEAT IN BLIZZARD) Came to feel safe with my baby because of a blizzard and we ended up loosing power. they lied and said they had a generator that would turn on but it was just for their kitchen lighting. Heating during a blizzard was not an emergency or priority for them. Me and my baby were freezing cold and none of the housekeeping ladies provided us anything. sadly really bad stay.

Positive: "" Negative: Side of hotel was freezing had to change room because of clogged toilet. Terrible breakfast items.

The staff there are the best. Our daughter left her favorite stuffed animal amongst the covers and went into a panic halfway home. The staff were kind and understanding, taking multiple phone calls about it and never getting annoyed. They found the stuffy and sent it to us. Got it yesterday, no worse for wear. We went there for the convenience and comfort. The room, beds, and bathroom were great as expected, but we were not expecting such fabulous service.

I got charged twice for the same room. i made the reservation a month ago and paid in full. when i arrived they asked for my credit card and i said i hope you dont charge me again. and they did. i can not get in touch with billing. the customer service is the worst.

Clean room, friendly service, really helped made my stay in Rhode Island that much better! Being from out of state, feels like a great location, just a short drive to both Newport and Providence. Beautiful grounds too, with plenty of Adirondack chairs and what looked like a firepit (I stayed during the Nor'Easter so that firepit was not in service). I would absolutely come back to this location.
