Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites South Kingstown Newport Area

We stayed in the suite with two queen beds and a sofa bed. The picture online showed a tub with a movable shower head. Since we were travelling with a young child, this was important to us. However, the room actually was a stand up shower. Also, the check-in time was supposed to be 3:00 but our room was not ready at 3:40 when we tried to check in. The agent at the front desk was very apologetic and gave us a map of the surrounding area pointing out the various beaches so this was not a huge problem, just a minor inconvenience. And I will say, the location is excellent since you are only minutes from the beach. Over all, the staff was very helpful and friendly. I just want to leave a positive review for this establishment as it was everything you see in the photos. (No photoshopping). It's clean, up to date and all staff were very nice. We stayed for 2 nights for a wedding that was happening across the street. We did pay "in season" prices for the hotel, but it was a great stay overall. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I've ever had. Big selection and everything was fresh. Making the experience even more enjoyable was Cathy who was there every morning to greet you with a smile and a good morning. She was very helpful to anyone who needed help with the waffle maker. LOL Room was clean, shower was clean and the room had it's own coffee station, microwave and mini fridge. We enjoyed the firepit every night. One night they even left

This place appears to be new. There can’t be more than 10 families staying here at this time. Rooms are cozy, beds comfortable and breakfast is a huge bonus! Rooms have a microwave, mini frig, and keurig with real coffee cups!

Recently road tripped around New England and stayed at 9 different Marriott properties. This was the nicest and cleanest of All of them. Clean and front desk was friendly. They told us that the breakfast was great of which we were apprehensive but for complimentary it was great.

Positive: Room was clean and breakfast good. Negative: The room A/C unit was as loud as a jet engine and could not be turned off. Impossible to sleep. Brutal.
