Hampton Inn Houston/Stafford

Situated right next to Interstate 69, Hampton Inn Stafford is a comfortable hotel conveniently located to the sights and attractions of Southwest Houston. It’s a three- story hotel with a few amenities like an indoor pool, fitness center, etc. and it offers free parking.||I stayed at this hotel over the weekend when there was a concert playing at Smart Financial Center in nearby Sugar Land. The check- in was good, and I like that they have microwaveable food items available for immediate purchase, which you can then prepare quickly in your room. ||With the rooms, I stayed in a room with a single king bed. Been staying at this location since it’s close to the doctors office. The hotel is being renovated which it was well due for a couple of years. I’m a Hilton Gold member and experienced something that never had happened to me at any Hilton location. We arrived at noon and was told I couldn’t check in early unless I wanted to pay an early check-in fee so that tells me the room was ready Management just was going to make more money by charging the fee. However I went on line and was able to check in and was told the front desk would issue me a key so I went back to the front desk and told the clerk on duty I’m checked in and needed a key. She looked at me with this puzzled look then reviewed her computer shook her head and then issued me a key.

Positive: NA Negative: The hotel had a smell when I entered. The front desk clerk struggled to check guests in within an appropriate amount of time. I was given a room for someone with physical disabilities which I do not have nor requested. The room had an awful odor.

I've never been to a hotel that did not have a luggage cart. We had to have the 3 of us carry in all our luggage sad. I talked to the manager, and he was just full of excuses. They should have at least one luggage cart. Asked front desk to allow me to talk with the manager. She said, give him 5 minutes and he was outside smoking a cigarette. I had to go outside and approach him. I feel when you pay your hard-earned money. You should have better courtesy than that.

I haven’t even checked in yet but I’ve been calling the hotel with a question and as I’ve called throughout the day yesterday absolutely no one picked up-not even a voice recording. I have to say I’m nervous about staying there.
