Hampton Inn Daytona Shores-Oceanfront

Stayed here during bike week in Daytona. This was my second time staying here. Stayed back in 2021. This place has gone downhill fast. The parking lot had sink holes so there was not enough parking. There was no beach access due to the steps needing some repairs. Also, no hot tub access. The stairs to the beach could have easily been repaired in time for one of the busiest weeks of the year. Or at least communicated these issues prior to a visit. Our shower gave us a trickle at best. Our toilet didn't fill half the time. We were charged a premium rate for a one star hotel. Really disappointed and would never recommend staying at this location.

Staying at this classic Daytona Beach hotel was a wonderful experience. While the property has an older charm, it’s well maintained and full of character. The oceanfront views are unbeatable, and falling asleep to the sound of the waves was a highlight of the trip. The staff was friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The location is perfect—right on the beach and close to restaurants, shops, and attractions. A great choice if you appreciate charm, history, and an excellent beachfront location.

I wish I could give this hotel a higher rating, but we went in January 2026 and it needed some remodeling! The parking was very limited due to sink holes in the ocean-side parking lot. Overflow parking was across the street and we had to play Frogger to get across. Due to this, the beach access was not available. The pool was under renovations and that's where the beach access is. They should consider another access point at this location, not two doors down. The staff wasn't the friendliest. They were nice, but they seemed like the guests were bothering them. There was one guy at the night time who was more accommodating than the rest. We didn't ask for an upgrade or request a specific room. We actually booked a room with a partial view of the ocean and we ended up getting a full view. Th

When the words "Not up to brand standards" is presented, it's typically just one thing but this property has many issues. Let's start with the good parts because despite all of the bad things you'll see down below, if those problems are solved, I'd stay at the property again without question: -Staff was incredibly friendly -Breakfast area was clean and well stocked -Quiet property and convenient access to the rest of the Daytona area without the hassle/traffic of being actually around the boardwalk. Issues: -Not enough parking spots for all guests due to a sea wall collapse, restricted to one vehicle per room despite a $15/night charge. We stayed overnight as a family for a one night stay. We were disappointed the pool was closed without prior knowledge. I am a very loyal Hilton member. Felt this location was ok for a one night stay, as you are driving through. We had a ocean view. Curtains had stains and a hole in them. For the money, to be on the ocean, its a value/get what you pay for.
