Hampton Inn Dalton

As a Lifetime Diamond, I have stayed at Hilton properties on at least 4 continents. In my opinion this is quite possibly the worst Hilton property I’ve ever stayed at. It should be condemned and at a minimum de-certified as a Hilton property. It is obviously suffered years of housekeeping and maintenance neglect. Absolutely disgusting. ||I’ve never had such a dirty feeling as I did at this property. Due to time and scheduling matters I didn’t move to another location. Big mistake. Please see the attached photos that will speak for themselves. Bugs in room. Broken room items. Rusted out railings. Trash piled up. Absolutely disgusting carpet. I stayed at this hotel with my family as we were coming back from the north. We however did not know the "wonderful" night we were in for. We open the door. The door was "slightly stuck" meaning it was pretty much jammed. We walk in the room. Dead cockroach greets us on the floor immediately. Spider/dust webs everywhere. As someone who is usually extremely comfortable inside a Hampton Inn, I will say this is bay far the worst one I have ever stayed at. That was the first time I did not even bother to sleep under the covers due to fear of bed bugs. It was a room on the 1st floor. Just so you know, this hotel is very clearly not like other Hampton Inn establishments. The hotel is outdoors, so it looks just like a motel. Great hotel, nice rooms, and plenty of pillows. The bedding is amazing. I loved the comforter. Breakfast was good, sausage, premade omelet, potatoes with bell peppers, 2 flavor choices for waffle batter pumpkin, and vanilla. They ran out of regular syrup and had to use sugar-free, and the juice machine work didn't work. Overall great stay.

This is the second time I tried to post a review for this place; I'm not sure what happened, so here it is: Not the worst place I've stayed, as it had some good things. The check in and staff were fantastic and quick. The breakfast and setup were great. Parking was good. The room was seemingly good, even though it was outside entry... not typical of a Hampton, and not my favorite. But, that had minimal impact on the review. It's nice and close to the highway, which you can hear pretty well from the room. There were a few stains on things like a comforter and a couple towels, but they were definitely clean, so not too worried. The big issue was the mold and the attempted cover up. We felt fairly deceived. This is not a hotel, this is a motel. Doors all open to the outside. That was not something that was made aware to me during booking. The room was pretty clean, but not perfectly. The renovations were fairly recent it felt like, but not top quality. The first floor room smelled pretty strange - a bit Smokey, maybe a pet odor. Not really sure. It was not horrible, it just was not what we expected for a Hilton property.
