Hampton Inn Corbin

Hilton is my go to brand, however, this Hampton Inn has some room for improvements. The night front desk attendant was amazing and very pleasant at check in. The room was nice and clean however the bed was hard and the pillows were basically non existent. When you laid on them your head went straight to the mattress, no matter how many pillows you use. Not sure if all rooms are like this, but, the temperature in the room did not match that of the thermostat. Had it set on 67 and it felt like 87 in the room and the noise that came off the unit was loud and rumbled all night. The bathroom was clean however after taking 1 shower if there are multiple gueats in the room, you could have trouble getting water temp regulated. Breakfast had a lot ti be desired. My husband and I live in Georgia, and we often travel by car to Ohio to visit family. Since having our son (now two), we split the drive. We've stayed near Corbin before, but this was our first time at the Hampton Inn Corbin. We were so impressed that if we need to stay in Corbin again, this is where we'll stay. My husband was able to check in online and use his phone to access our room. Our room and bathroom were simple, but modern, comfortable, and very clean. Post-2020, we've had many experiences with "clean enough" hotel rooms, but that was not the case here. Free breakfast was excellent. I always love a big pot of oatmeal. This hotel is exceptional - it deserves more than a 5/5 rating! It is immaculately clean and incredibly well-maintained, thanks to the friendly and dedicated staff. The breakfast is wonderful. This is, hands down, one of the best hotels we've stayed at in a long time. They run a top-notch operation that every hotel should emulate. If you are in the area, you should absolutely book a stay here. We were so impressed!

Appears very clean, beds are comfortable and the front desk clerk was extremely professional and pleasant tonight. It's so nice to come to a hotel and truly feel welcomed! We have spent a week staying at Hampton Inn in several states on this trip and this is by far the nicest.

Positive: Location,seemed quiet. Breakfast was good,nice selection. Could have been warmer,eggs were cold. Good coffee. Front desk lady helpful and friendly. We really liked the side door entry for accessing the car. The climate control was good in room. Negative: Our only complaint was it didn?t feel real clean, probably due to older finishes. The room carpeting was really old, pretty disgusting. Overall smell of hotel was not good. It could use a refresh for sure.
