Hampton Inn Clarksdale

From the moment I walked in and was helped by Porstia (if I spelled her name incorrectly I truly apologize) I knew it would be a good stay. Hotel seemed super clean, I was helped with my laundry which was super helpful as I was running out of clothes. Room was comfortable, breakfast and coffee was out just before 6am. There is no dedicated tractor trailer parking, I parked in the road in front of hotel and didn’t have any issues. Thank you

This hotel is really nice and centrally located near attractions. The staff are very friendly and cordial and the check in snd check out were s breeze. The rooms were nice and clean and all needed items were provided including extra pillows, blankets, etc. The complementary breakfast was nice. The only issue was the lift (elevator). One was shut down and the only working one made a loud pop and shuttered as it started moving - rather unsettling. But overall, a nice stay.

This return visit to the Hampton Inn Clarksdale was a very pleasant surprise. Our stay two years ago left us feeling the hotel had no hope of recovery. On this visit the corridor carpets were clean, the rooms clean, there were towels in the bathroom, and coffee in the lobby, but most importantly, the staff was smiling, welcoming, and accommodating. |The only disappointment was the breakfast, the staff struggled to keep up with demand. The area with the most room for improvement is the free breakfast.

Positive: Close to town center. My room was very clean Negative: The hotel phone was non operational, tv was not synced to the remote and could not be fixed ulelss I left the tv on continually. Night clerk especially was nice but took no effort to fix the issues. I complained shortly after check in and next day

Dried urine stain on the toilet. Ants in bathroom behind loose tile. Checked-in on after 10pm and was told by the clerk at the desk that our 2 queen room was changed (without our prior knowledge or consent) to 1 king. She also informed me that no rollaway beds were available and she had no further 2 queen rooms. I spoke to the manager the following morning and requested that we have 1 nite of our stay credited back to us. She said she'd forward the request and that I could check back with her later to find our the result. Spoke with same manager at checkout and she informed me that I'd be receiving half the cost of my stay back. (That's equal to a one nite credit as we only stayed 2 nites.) I later viewed my receipt and found that I had been credited $22. The cost per nite was $152. I'm no
