Hampton Inn Charleston-Historic District

Nice, clean and great service. There is some good places around but can get crowded. Your typical breakfast bar, food was fresh, well stocked and kept clean. Waffle mix was really good and im not a big waffle eater. Would definitely stay again.

went from Sunday until Thanksgiving day 2025. Overall nice experience. I am a Diamond Hilton awards for multiple years so have a good comparison.|The lobby area is nice with hardwood floors. breakfast area and lobby well layed out. Once you get past lobby, the hallways and rooms do seem dated. Location is very good. across the street is information area and transportation area. FREE busses across the street 210, 211, & 212 I believe. hotel and info center have maps. Breakfast pretty basic. scrambled eggs and potatoes everyday. different meat option each morning, sausage, bacon, etc. We took are little dog with us, and choose courtyard room, with direct access to nice courtyard.|If you get a good rate, location is great for walking.

We were greeted with a welcoming smile at both check-in and check-out by Matt—he is truly an asset to the property. Thank you, Matt!! The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast offered lots of variety, was served hot, and the staff stayed on top of keeping everything fresh and well stocked. The location is a huge plus, especially for those attending concerts at the Charleston Music Hall—it’s right next door! Highly recommend this hotel, and we will definitely be returning for a future stay!

Good location, but unfortunately very poor maintenance. During my stay, the shower valve got stuck in the ON position in the morning. Maintenance came, but the repair was clearly temporary and poorly done. The same problem happened again at night, causing unnecessary disturbance and inconvenience. This is disappointing for a Hampton property. The location is good, but the lack of proper maintenance makes it not worth the stay. There are better options nearby.
