Hampton Inn Brighton

This was our first time staying here at the Hampton Inn, Brighton Michigan. We loved it and we will definitely be back!!! They have fantastic reviews on Google,,, plus Aleesa was soooo awesome on the phone and was able to book us in an accessible room for my husband. We LOVED the hotel, the room was so clean and spacious, the layout thoughtful, bathroom counters were gorgeous and the king bed and bedding sooooo comfortable!!!!!! We slept amazing. Your breakfast in the morning was really great - I love that you have the hard boiled eggs and the yogurt, along with the other regular hot eggs and sausage fare. Thank you for such a wonderful stay,,, and the next time we visit, we'll take advantage of the pool and hot tub!!!! Your property is gorgeous and the hotel was really beautiful. A+ ♥️♥️♥

After a long nine-hour drive, we arrived at the Hampton Inn in Brighton, Michigan around 9:00 p.m. Upon check-in, we were charged a $75 pet fee for our dog, which had not been communicated prior to arrival. The fee applies for stays between one and four days, and we were only staying for two, which already felt frustrating after a long trip.||We were assigned a room and went up, clearly exhausted. When we opened the door, it was immediately obvious that the room had not been cleaned at all. It was in complete disarray and looked as if it might still have been occupied. We went back to the front desk. The reaction we received was a casual “Oh, that’s inconvenient,” with no apology. This place is great!! We wanted a place with a warm pool and a hot hot tub to get out of the winter weather and it exceeded all of our expectations!! The pool is super warm in the hot tub is hot. My only complaint is the pool deck and the bathrooms in the pool area could be cleaner! Our room was super clean And the free breakfast was delicious!! 😋 We will definitely be back!

This place is absolutely disgusting and should not be operating as a hotel. My husband and I checked in only to find a visibly dirty comforter, which immediately set the tone for how filthy and poorly run this place is. The staff was rude, hostile, and clearly couldn’t care less about guests or even their own coworkers. I overheard staff openly admitting to using makeup wipes to “clean” stains off comforters instead of replacing them beyond unsanitary and completely unacceptable. These comforters are clearly not changed. The worst part of the experience was a housekeeper named Harriett, who was incredibly unpleasant and seemed to spend more time gossiping and trash-talking her coworkers than doing her job. While my family and I have stayed at this hotel before, we encountered some issues that impacted our experience. We noticed that the cleanliness could be better, with some hairs found in the shower and stains on the bedding. The walls also seemed quite thin, which made it a bit noisy and easy to hear the staff talk disrespectfully about guest. We also observed that some of the staff seemed overwhelmed during their shifts Ive noticed one crying and I felt terrible for her. We also overheard conversations that suggested the use of makeup wipes for cleaning comforter stains to reduce laundry. The hotel appeared to be unsanitary and unorganized, and it didn't feel very welcoming.
