Hampton Inn Atmore

When we arrived at the hotel our rooms weren’t ready. We had to wait for about 20 minutes or so with 7 kids in the lobby. The staff was kind and gave us a discount on the room due to our wait. When we got into our room they had a very strong musty smell. The grout in the bathroom was peeling up and pieces of it were up on the counter. After our shower we stepped on the bathmat and the underside of the mat became brown from the floor. It was absolutely filthy. Our kids even commented on how sticky the carpet felt. Definitely needs an update and a good cleaning. I wouldn’t ever stay here again. We stayed at many Hampton inns and never experienced this before.

Very comfortable beds, nice furniture, two water bottles at check-in, walking to several restaurants and a convenience mart. The casino grounds were very pretty at night with a large pond with a fountain and up- lighting on clump river birch trees. It was a nice little walk after a long drive. |Also a good breakfast with several choices. We had a table by the window and got to watch the birds in the feeder!|Our room only had one bath towel and washcloth- didn’t notice until the morning though!

I really liked this hotel. The room was clean and the AC worked great. The breakfast included scones, waffles, sausage, egg omelettes, grits and more. They even had to-go goodie bags by the door with breakfast foods of you were in a hurry but wanted a nice breakfast. The hotel is a 5 min walk from a nice casino if you're into that. The hot water in the shower heated up immediately and the hotel was quiet.

When you paid over $160 just for 1 night, you expect good sleep. But after calling the front desk about stomping upstairs, they told me that they’re walking “normally.” Apparently this is a structural issue then where the walls, floors, and ceilings are all razor thin. Staff were friendly and nice. If you have to stay here, choose a top floor room for some chance of decent sleep
