Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton Port Clinton Catawba Island

We had a wonderful two-night stay at this new hotel. Our group had 4 rooms booked for a family event. The hotel staff was so helpful in the planning and execution of our family Christmas event. We used their meeting room for our group of 25. The staff, especially Andrea, Holly and Charlie provided outstanding service. The breakfast area has large widows overlooking the water. We spotted bald eagles both days we were there while eating a great hot breakfast including fresh made waffles with chocolate chips added! The meeting room we used for our celebration got warm and they immediately sent maintenance to adjust the thermostat, cooled the room and even came back later to check to see if everything was still ok. We had a good experience at the relatively new Hampton Port Clinton. We were a bit concerned by previous unflattering reviews, but it seems that most of the problems that usually accompany the opening of a brand new hotel have now been rectified, we have nothing negative to report. Staff members were uniformly friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, room was clean and quiet, pool was nice, value was pretty good, location is great.

Had a great stay at the Hampton Inn PC. The hotel is new and has great convenient amenities. The view from our room and the main lobby area is AMAZING! The breakfast was awesome with many options, eggs, bagels, waffle maker, and wonderfully set up ! Special shout out to Tasha, the breakfast attendant who kindly allowed me to grab a waffle AFTER the breakfast was closed since 7 year old birthday boy slept in! THANK YOU!

Needed place fast due to storm on island! Charlie was so kind and accommodating to my stress and was eager to get me settled in quickly and was so helpful answering all questions i would even have before i could even ask! Room was very clean and will definitely stay again! Breakfast was something for anyone from hot breakfast to just a quick muffin! Thanks again Charlie they are lucky to have an employee like you!

It's BRAND NEW! It's a BRAND NEW TRAIN WREAK! Some of the problems with this property can be attributed to "growing pains" But not all. Rooms: Clean and spacious, but very poorly constructed. ALL of the doors have been hung wrong (some wont close at all), so expect slamming all day and all night. LOUD, wake-you-up like a bomb slamming. I don't blame rude guest in this case (as I would expect). No toilet paper holder.. but a hole where I suspect that one used to be. Hope your agile enough for a "reach around" to get it from the tank behind you. Short stack of towels with insufficient amount of hooks for hanging. Breakfast: "Meh" at best. A much lesser selection than I've had at other Hamptons. No juice machine (out of order). Warm, watered down OJ in a dispenser was there instead. And f
