Hampton Inn Abilene

I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Abilene, Texas from November 7th to November 9th, and I was extremely disappointed with the overall condition and management of this property. This hotel is in serious need of renovation and better upkeep. The first-floor tiles are cracked and chipped, and there is a piece of cardboard taped with duct tape and topped with a cone in the pool area—completely unacceptable for a Hilton-branded property. Our room remote was old and barely functional, and when we asked a housekeeper for a replacement, we were told that the manager does not allow staff to give out new remotes because of the new TV brackets. Positive: The front desk people were nice. Negative: The shower was At 4am, I woke to the bathroom sink overflowing and flooding the bathroom. Water was coming up out of the drain. All my toiletries and clothes were soaked. I had to put on drain-water-wet clothes to check out at 5am. Staff was apologetic.

I had a really disappointing stay at this Hampton Inn. Breakfast was late every morning by 15–30 minutes, it tasted old, and they served the same thing two days in a row. The front desk supervisor smelled like cannabis, and the rooms were old, smelly, and run down. There was even mold in my room, which made the stay feel unhealthy and unsafe. When I checked out, I had to wait five minutes before the supervisor finally came from the back. Honestly, this building either needs a full renovation or to be demolished and rebuilt. On top of that, this location needs new property management, because they have let a Hilton brand hotel look more like a Super 8 or Motel 6 — definitely not what a Hilton should represent or look like. I booked rooms 2 months ago for 2 nights. Our plans changed and only needed one night. Called to cancel the second night WAY before. Instead of cancelling that one night they cancelled the whole thing and then told me I would have to rebook one of their rooms that was more than the cost of both nights!! Supervisor said there was nothing that could be done even though I was a honors member. I followed all of their policies booking and modifying and NO WHERE was it stated that this is how they handle it nor was I told before the agent cancelled my reservation.

stayed here with my husband it was really nice. the front desk lady “beth” was very nice and helpful breakfast was good my favorite was the waffle. talked to the breakfast lady she was very nice and friendly.
