Haley Hotel

Enjoyed our stay at the Haley. Room was clean, comfy, and just felt nice. Location is clutch — right in downtown and walking distance to a ton of good food, which is always a win. Big thanks to the staff too — we forgot our toothbrushes and they had us covered, no stress. Super easy stay, great vibes. Would definitely stay here again. ✌️

If every “nautical” item was vomited into a room, the result would be The Haley Hotel. It is the epitome of lipstick on a pig — but that pig is also CRAWLING WITH ANTS. To paint a picture: We woke up covered head to toe in ants-in our bags, bed, shower, toothbrushes, etc. Never felt so intimately acquainted with an insect colony in my life. We killed hundreds of ants before someone from the front desk came up 10 minutes before checkout with a laughably small spray bottle, as if to stomp out a forest fire with a Capri Sun. But wait, it gets better. I reached out to the hotel through multiple platforms and got absolutely no response. Eventually, they offered a partial refund of $149 for a one night, $370 stay… which is adorable, considering we essentially paid full price to sleep inside

We took a road trip up the California coast and wanted to make a stop in Santa Barbara. We brought our 2 dogs and needed a dog friendly hotel to stay. Haley hotel was perfect! It’s a Small boutique hotel with an excellent location in downtown. And the outdoor area was great! The dogs loved it, and there’s even a small gated off dog area where the dogs could be off leash.

This was a business trip for me. It was the best value in the area, besides a bed in the hostels. It was conveniently located and everything is within a few minutes of walking distance. Each block is about a 2 minute walk. I liked the virtual room key on my phone app. The parking next door was also via app. I arrived later in the evening, so these features were super convenient and I didn't need to go to the front counter at all. The door locks can be a bit touchy. Sometimes it would take 2-3 tries, but it would eventually open. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I intend to stay again on future visits.

I will definitely be back for another stay. All employees were so helpful and encouraged use of the amenities. I really liked how our room was setup. Minimal furniture but plenty of resting places for luggage and stuff. I would have given the room 5 stars but toilet is super low and bathroom had some worn spots. I still had an excellent stay.
