Grouse Mountain Campground

Great place to camp. Wasn't crowded on what seemed like a busy weekend everywhere else. The views are good, but the drive up is prettier than the site itself.

No cell service unless you walk down the tank trapped road. There are old wooden pit toilets and a decent view of lake Chelan from certain vantages near the campground. A fire came through a year ago so be aware of damaged trees that may fall or break off and cause harm in the area as well as stump holes/old ash pits that children can fall into.

The road up was horrible for me and I couldn't make it to the campground so, this is reviewing the path and not the campground. Just know the road up is very steep dirt/gravel, and very many switchbacks. It was too far out for me, too exposed to a possible wildfire and bears but maybe someone else's jam.

Only a few campsites. Tremendous views. I go every year. I've seen a Bear so follow the rules. No water so bring some and enjoy perfection.
