Sahale Glacier Campground

One of the best hikes in north cascades. Amazing trek with majestic mountains and we were able to spot mountain goats. Doubtful lake was also beautiful.

Rewarding throughout. There was a fresh 6-8 inch snow from the previous night when we got there. Made our last mile a little tricky but it was worth the effort. You get to see Rainier, Cascades and Olympics from the Glacier Top. This one is so popular because it offers so much within ~12 miles - variations in terrain, majestic mountains, thick glaciers, and more. There were blueberries all around (are atleast a 100), different kinds of mushrooms; we spotted bears in the distant mountains and many cute little Pikas too.

Wow! I shouldn't tell you how amazing the views are...or how amazing the hike is to get up to the campground. It's just WOW! You have to get a permit from the ranger station 24hrs in advance and they are very limited. We got a permit by getting a permit for Johannesburg campground for the night before and set off the next day from there.

First time I have ever taken a panorama photo from a toilet. I cannot stress enough how important it is to visit this toilet.

Amazing views! Right next to the glacier. You camp inside rock shelters. Requires backcountry permit to camp.
