Greer Mountain Resort

We were booked to stay three nights on a holiday weekend. When we got there we were so disappointed with the chalet that we decided to leave and go back home. The chalet was so small and did not seem clean. We didn't even unpack. We had paid $125 a night in advance. We attempted to get into other resorts nearby, but they were all booked. There was no one around when we decided to go back home, so we just left. They should have seen that the bed was never used and there were no suitcases or clothes in the chalet. We received a bill in the mail for $75 extra for having a dog. There was no mess, in fact we were only at the unit for 30 minutes. We didn't attempt to get a refund because it was a holiday weekend. Recently spent 2 days in a pet friendly room,my wife booked this trip for us,I was pleasantly surprised at how quant and clean this resort was, we would definitely come back time and time again.The staff was very polite and respectful w all our questions. Thank you for a great time.

The best was the most comfortable bed Ive ever slept in, including the memory foam mattress we have at home. It is built from real logs, visible inside and out, not faked like many we have seen. We were a bit disappointed that the closest restaurant was closed the first night. But then found one further down the road which had looked like it was only a bar, served food which we enjoyed. We got to eat dinner at the restaurant and the quality of the food there was exceptionable.

I want to start off this review with the fact that I grew up in the country and during a time when there were no electronics, playstations, computers, etc. We had one TV which had a 13 channel knob and a bunny ear antenna. We played out doors and entertained ourselves by running around, getting dirty and discovering nature. My expectations are very low and to me, as long as I have a dry room and a blanket and a bathroom, I'm content. If you are used to 5 star hotels and the thought of something being out of place or not having all the amenities concerns you, this might not be the right place for you to stay.
