Thick forested area with a few horse pens , massive standing trees in this area and incredible stumps covered in moss from decades ago that were logged , there's also a trailhead to Mt. Baldy from this camp area.. great views and very close to Lee Valley , Reservation lake and Big Lake as well ..
East Baldy trail head at Gabaldon Horse Camp is a beautiful place in the fall as well as summer.
Cool campground. Website said tents allowed. I didn’t see any other campers or horse. No tables at any spots.
8/10 for horse camping. Lots of room to park, east access, big wooden pens. No water, need to bring your own. Tons of Riding right from camp!
Corrals are strong and easily accessable.Views are terrific and this is a great jump off point for Mt. Baldy 94 trail. His/Her's maintained restrooms. Would have been nice to add something about the namesake author. She's never forgotten AZ!
