Green Granite Inn, an Ascend Collection Hotel

The room needs updating. The floors needed a good vacuuming as well. The door to the building our room was in did not lock which was a bit unsettling. I had booked for 6 people and had to go get more towels and pillow cases from the front desk. Was told they might not have pillow cases. I would have expected all that we needed would have already been in the room to accommodate the booking. The location is perfect and the staff at check in was super friendly.

I am extremely disappointed with the condition of the room my family and I checked into last night. We arrived to find a number of unacceptable issues: no towels, sheets that appeared unchanged, food and crumbs on the floor and inside drawers, and no phone in the room to contact the front desk. I attempted to call for assistance several times with no answer, and even Expedia was unable to reach anyone on staff. When I finally spoke with Margaret, she was wonderful—understanding, apologetic, and reassuring. She promised the room would be fully cleaned and reset with fresh linens and also provided a $70 credit, which I would appreciate receiving confirmation or a receipt for. I have stayed here multiple times over the past two years, and each visit has been a positive experience. The front desk staff is truly exceptional—helpful, kind, and welcoming every time. The rooms are a bit outdated, which is understandable given the age of the hotel, but they still offer a cozy, rustic charm that perfectly captures the North Conway vibe. If you're seeking luxury, this might not be the place for you, but if you're looking for an authentic, rustic North Conway feel, this hotel is a great choice. I look forward to my next visit!

We had the worst experience at this motel. We didn’t sleep all night as a result of the two squeaking beds. We had two double beds and each of them were the same. No matter the slightest turn in bed, the squeaking sound kept you awake. On checkout, I told them those beds should be thrown out and replaced. They were the worst beds I have ever slept in at a hotel or motel. In addition, immediately after we went in the room when we checked in, I went back to the front desk and asked if there was another room as the lighting was terrible. I was told all the rooms are the same. There was one standing light in the corner of the room that was too light the entire room, aside from the two dim lights on the nightstands. Absolutely disgusting!!! My pictures will tell all but it but I highly recommend staying away , pictures are false. I asked to move to another room because the condition of the room they gave us. Staff tried telling me all that dirt was staining . Well then buy new stuff, no excuse. The second Room was slightly better but as you can see in the bathroom picture there was rust on the ceiling and when the people upstairs took a shower the crusty rust was crumbling down on my towels. Gross!! Walls are paper thin , beds are beyond uncomfortable , the list goes on but my pictures are self explanatory. Stay away!!!! FYI: I booked through hotels.com and they will not refund me , beware of 3rd party booking . This place was a huge gross disappointment .
