Great Western Colorado Lodge

Cleaned nicely, perfect outdated motel! Pillows could be nicer and if you plan on using the sauna (whole reason I stayed) plan on working for it. Took about 1.5 hours of constant watering, (wet the metal thing hanging above the rocks also) and use towels to stop the air flow below the door. But once rolling it was nice !

Positive: Very friendly staff and pretty room. Even though I was disappointed the hot tub was covered up, I was pleasantly surprised how nice adn warm the pool was and and enjoyed some water exercise at the end of the night. Negative: ""

I hardly ever write reviews, let alone bad ones, but this horrible place takes the cake. I’m sorry, Great Western, you’re not so great and based on all the reviews, I think you know it. Please clean up your act, literally. Just trying to save the next poor tired souls that just need a rest for the night. All the bad reviews… SPOT ON. we ended up here because everything else was booked and found bedbugs in the room, hair on the sheets, multiple semen stains on the bedspread in the weird back pocket room and black fuzz on the pillows (yet NO black fuzzy linens or pillows anywhere). Took photos, ran out, luckily talked to Browns Canyon Inn down the road who graciously gave us a room they saved just for this type of incident. We're not the kind of people who need elegant, ultra modern, luxury hotels, with valets, complimentary bathrobes, and mints on our pillows at night. We need a room that's clean, a good bed, a good shower, a decent TV, and a fridge that works. This place checks all our boxes for around $100 a night. They also have a nice pool and sauna which we didn't use. Convenient to downtown, and right on the main road out of town.

I drive for Walmart. They told me they had room to park a semi and trailer, they do not that strike one, they advertise. They have a hot tub or a Jacuzzi. They do not strike too, got into the room that has a jetted tub, which is filthy and the room looks like a storage unit. Do not recommend this place. I will not stay here again.
