Great River Road RV Campground

Cliff and Carman are great hosts. Very friendly and always say hi when you pull in the camp ground. Friday nights is a great time sitting around the club house talking. They know you by your first name. Highly recommend staying in this camp ground.

When I saw the bad review from 6 years ago, we were reluctant to stop by. However while parked along the river watching a barge go along, a nearby homeowner came and told us about the concert that was going on Friday night in the town and also suggested that we go to the Great River Road campground because it was just down the road. When we pulled in and were greeted by the owners Cliff and Carmen, I knew there was something wrong, because they either had to be the new owners or the review had to be bogus. It turns out the review was bogus. We were treated extremely well and were invited to join the Friday night get together at the camp host office Deck area. I lost my camper and a $1000 because of this campground. I would never recommend anybody to this place. It was an absolute mess. They had my camper towed didn't notify me didn't do anything and then used that they were going to give me my money back to get all that through so they didn't show up as they stole my camper, because, in all reality they did and then never gave me my $1000 back that I had given them that I have a receipt for. Cash, these people are crooks.I refuse to fight with his wife and this is what all started with. Absolutely ridiculous and absolutely true

We were non-campers with kids who really wanted to camp:) Sometime, we finally bought a camper and have been staying at this campground every weekend since! We could not see ourselves staying at a place with nothing nearby to do, but this place is beautiful! Tons of space to play, rides bikes, utilize the playground, open air shelter. The Mississippi is a block away, out sons are safe to ride their bikes to fish there everyday, nothing better for young boys to be spending their time doing! We also an rent fishing boats or go posted pontoon ingredients with easy access to the river and marina. The Landing takes those who want to fish the barge over on their boat. The 2mile river walk is awesome for walking or running. The pool is a block away and we walk, ride bikes, or golf cart there. Go

Great River Road is intended for campers and RVs, but Guttenberg was the ideal, central location for what we wanted to do in the area on our tent-camping trip. ||||The owners let us use a RV site for our tents that was perfect. The grass site was right beside the shelter and a short walk to the bathroom/shower for the entire park. The site had electricity and water. The shelter has electricity and plenty of picnic tables. There is a fire pit by the shelter. The bathroom/shower was roomy and in good condition. There are two bathrooms, both with showers. The entire campground was in very good shape. It's obvious, the closer you are to the trees, the better your chance of having shade during some time of the day. The bluffs on the west side of town also helped create some shade later in the d
