Eagle View Motel & Retreat

We loved this place and can't wait to go back. Fantastic view of the Mississippi River. The Motel is up on a bluff. The room is comfortable with a coffee maker, fridge, and microwave, comfortable bed, great view from the window, balcony, and front lawn. Close to town but quiet.

We stayed at the Eagle View motel on our way to the Mayo Clinic. It was the highlight of our trip. When we arrived and saw the beautiful view of the Mississippi River, it was exactly what we were hoping for. Our room was spotless and had a great view. We had our dog with us, so thank-you for allowing dogs. There was no dog smell in the room for those of you who are not bringing one. As mentioned in other reviews, you do not check in and there’s no front desk, there’s a key code for the door and the process went smoothly. ||The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. The owner was out of town but still made sure we were well taken care of. ||If you are looking for a small, friendly, cute hotel with stunning views of the majestic Mississippi this is the place for you. ||We never saw

We loved our stay at Eagle View! The owners are very kind and accommodating. The rooms are quaint, but comfortable and a nice place to lay your head at the end of the day! The best part is by far the view overlooking the Mississippi. We loved watching the sunrise from our room each morning. The outdoor area is very well kept as well, with plenty of space to lounge and take in the view. The sauna was also incredible! It had a great window in it to take in the view as well!

This is a nice little motel, with great views of the river. Grounds were nice, with amenities for guests to use. No, there is no ice or soda machine, as some complained about. Not a huge deal, plan ahead or run down the hill to the station or store. The room was small but clean, yet had some issues & was not quite finished. The corner cabinet was kind of a make shift cabinet/counter top. Counter top was not finished/correct size for the cabinet it was sitting on. So looked a little "off". There was also a carpet patch right in front of the bathroom, which didn't look right & was hard not to stumble/trip on it, when using the bathroom. There were stains all over the carpet as well, so that looked unappealing. Bed was okay, but not very comfortable to me. It was rather hard in my opinion.

Cute little motel with a spectacular view of the Mississippi River. However, for the price, we expected our room to be much better. It was very small in comparison to most other places. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom was decent size and clean. The carpet is very old and needs to be replaced. It had a large patch just outside the bathroom that we tripped on a couple of times and a big stain near the door. The countertop under the beat-up mini fridge seemed to be a leftover as it was missing the corner, leaving the corner of the cabinet below it exposed. This room seemed like it was an afterthought, and maybe the other rooms aren't as bad, but for over $100, definitely expected better.
