Grantmoor Motor Lodge

Well the good old Grantmoor . It was quite something in its heyday but that was 40 years ago. I gave it 2 stars for the front desk attendant very nice and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and inexpensive. Cleanliness not great. It's located on the Berlin Turnpike which has plenty of restaurants and shopping.

The grantmoore is in a great location if you like to shop. It's a great cheap hotel if you want to save money but the bus infestation of roaches and Beatles other random insects plus the unclean rooms and broken appliances might make you change your mind about your stay.

I usually get one of the small rooms. It has a refrigerator kind of much cleaner so today I ended up getting a bigger one that cost more money, the AC sucks no refrigerator. Basically I pay more for just the room where I spent less for all the accessories in a smaller room and then The office wanted five dollars for an extra key for me. There’s two people in our room and I have to spend more money. This is the worst experience here. I don’t know how this Motel is still open. It used to be awesome.

I used booking.com to reserve the room. Pros: Staff is friendly and polite. Cons: The bathtub was dirty and a large ring of hairs similar to what you would see in a sink after shaving. The toilet had pubic hairs and a slight leak. Underneath the sheets on the bed were crumbs and bugs. The pillows had a smell of saliva as if someone drooled while sleeping and which made me think they didn’t change the pillowcase. The room had the strongest smell of smoke as if they chain smoked within it. I told the manager on duty and he came quickly to the room. He walked through and told me not to touch anything especially the bathtub. I asked for another room and he said most of the rooms were the same and so he went ahead and refunded me my money.

It's in a prime location but this place has really gone down hill over the years. This is no longer the destination it used to be back in the 1970s.
