GrandStay Residential Suites Hotel Rapid City

We enjoyed our weekend with the GrandStay while visiting family. Due to my diet restrictions we always book a kitchenette when we travel which can be pricey. The Grandstay provided not only good pricing and a kitchenette but also a clean refreshing room that is spacious. A comfortable bed, a shower with good water pressure and hot water, and breakfast, a pool, a hot tub and workout area. We will definitely use the Grandstay when we return.

We checked in at 5:30 pm on a Friday. No one came to check us in for 30 min. Several people waiting. Only one employee was on duty. In his defense, he was on the3rd floor fixing a toilet. Our room was not cleaned. Unmade bed, used towels on floor. He apologized and did a quick bed change, wipe down bathroom and put clean towels in the room. He didn't have time to clean main room floor or check the kitchenette area because several more customers were waiting to check in. He did the best he could working alone and daytime employees not doing their job. Staff problems indicate poor management.|Laundry room was filthy. Clearly had not been cleaned for several days.

Nice quiet place to stay, the place was clean and modern. We had the queen suite and was like a tiny apartment. The kitchenette was nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. The price was very reasonable as it was the off season.

Upon arrival infprmed entire cleaning staff resigned so had to wait. Well, during sturgis rally I took higher road and refused room cleaning. I didnt want to pile on. Bed was like a sandwich -bad backs beware. Slept few hours a nite but, bed orevent avrestful bight sagged at every possible angle tried. Room was very clean except grout a tile near tub.Breakfast was muffin make your own waffle eggs skin milk ceral bacon toast bagels muffin. Eat elsewhere coffee was good.Rest of hotel I woukdnt judge they wrre adaptung best they could

Chose to stay here for the location. Was great for getting on/off the interstate. The kitchenette in the room is in need of a number of repairs. Refrigerator was not level, easily rocked. Cabinets have doors that are loose, barely attached. Dishwasher was gross. As if last occupant failed to start it properly. Detergent all over inside and smelled gross. Fortunately we were not intending to use the dishwasher. I told the front desk about it, and that could wait till we left.
