Grand Palms Resort

I am here now and loving it. The condo is nice and everything works well. Plenty big enough to 5. The pool was great and I loved just sitting in the spa. The kids can walk to a lot of places by themselves. Very clean and quiet. Every employee I have talked to was super nice and well knowledgeable. Glade chose this location.

Positive: I liked the pools Negative: The room I It looked cheaply redone. While the check in center was of “resort” quality. The room was definitely dated and way to expensive for what it was. It was also a timeshare location. Don’t go to the meeting. Vultures and aggressive.

If you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful stay I would NOT recommend. The staff is the most disrespectful I have ever dealt with, not to mention thieves. We had food stolen out of our refrigerator, that we had just bought for our week long stay, by housekeeping. The walls are so thin I could hear our neighbors DOWNSTAIRS having sex early in the morning. While their kids ran wild in the parking lot all night. House keeping will not knock on your door. They will ring you doorbell 3-5 times back to back and then continue to bang on the door like police. It only took me maybe 10 seconds to get from my bedroom in the back to the door and my kids were screaming and crying and hiding in their room because they thought GUNSHOTS were going off. My wife and two sons visited this resort for the first time in early October, and overall, it was a good experience. We really enjoyed most of the amenities, especially the outdoor pool, hot tubs, and lazy river. I know this time of year is considered the shoulder season, so the atmosphere and crowd are quite different during the peak summer months. The resort itself is located a bit off the main road, tucked away among several residential areas, which felt a little unusual. It also seemed like a number of people live there full-time, which took away slightly from the traditional “vacation resort” feel. This is an excellent place to stay close to Myrtle Beach but away from the hustle and bustle. Pools were warm area is safe for walking. Staff was friendly and inviting, definitely kid friendly. Rooms were perfect size we there for girlfriend shannanigans. We will definitely be returning.
