Club Wyndham Grand Palms

First time here, we stayed in the Presidential suites area. Everything was fantastic. Check-in was quick and easy. We were asked if we wanted to attend a 90 minute meeting and we said no, nothing else was mentioned, no pressure at all. The grounds are immaculate and the condo clean and spacious. Nice pools both indoor and outdoors with separate children areas to play also. Having a free shuttle from condo to the beach was great as parking is very limited. Surfside beach is an autism awareness area so no beach bars or rowdiness. Gorgeous and clean beach!! |Day passes are given for free entrance to Myrtle Beach state park and Huntington Beach state park.|We wanted to stay another week and already saying “when we go back next year”! |Definitely a WIN!

Check in was in a building off of 17. Check in was simple and quick. We had to see the VIP desk to get a parking pass and a map to help navigate the resort. We received a quick pitch to see a presentation for a gift. I graciously said no since I just wanted to relax. No presure. Also each of us received a moon pie. The lobby is nicely decorated for the holidays. The drive to our unit was around a half mile away in the Presidential area. The 2nd floor unit had 2 bedrooms and living room/kitchen/laundry. There is a door connecting our unit to an adjacent one. There is a deck off of the main bedroom with a view of tall brush. There are tvs in each bedroom and one in the living room. All flat screen and large sized. Both bedrooms has there own full bath. The main bath has a Jacuzzi. The show

The room was very nice, spacious, and exceptionally clean. I really appreciated the overall comfort and quality—so much so that I even took a video to show how well-kept everything was. The only reason I didn’t give a full 5 stars is because of the check-in experience. As a VIP owner, I wasn’t greeted or acknowledged as such, and I also wasn’t informed that there were issues with the internet connection at the time. Because of that lack of communication, we weren’t able to watch TV during our entire stay since the Samsung TVs require internet to operate. Better communication at check-in would have made the experience perfect. No fault to the resort itself—everything else was great. Good: they gave me courtesy to put my stuff away and have access to amenities prior to check in Not so good: didn’t offer anything like other places that have complimentary water at a minimum. There’s a restaurant next door but they close at 2pm and no discounts for being in the resort even though they tell everyone how great the restaurant is. Good: they have a shuttle Not so good: it stops running at 5pm so if you have no car, there’s nothing to eat or do walking distance Good: pool Not so good: doesn’t even go 5feet deep and the hot tub doesn’t have full working jets. It had so much chlorine I felt sick. The suite had an awful stench, there was one coffee pack, bathroom was very small that although I’m only 5”4 145 pounds, I kept hitting my elbows on the wall.

Receptionist at guest check in was great. He, however; then direct me to the concierge saying I can receive an enlarged map of the property from her. She was friendly & personable. Couldn’r find me in the system asking for my credit card & driver’s license. I explained that I I just checked in, (she literally saw me check in) that info should be available. To my dismay, she entered All my information creating an account and try to Sign me up for a 90 min timeshare meeting!!!!!! Even with me being blunt, explaining that we are on a 3 day mini anniversary vacation, I’m not gonna waste 90 minutes of my time for $100 gift card.
