Grand Motor Inn

Roaches, mices, hair on the bed, and smells like cigarettes this motel is absolutely disgusting. There were two maids that “supposedly” clean the rooms but THATS A LIE. I was moved to another room my last day in the motel because of a plumbing leak I told one of the maids if there was any available space and she said that there was a room available that she cleaned an hour ago when we packed all our stuff to the next room there was a dead roach on the floor that she didn’t clean

No. Just don’t. Unless you need a place that rents by the hour, this is not your motel. It’s somewhere between scary and funny because you can’t wait to see what happens next. Due to a cancelled connecting flight, the airline gave us a voucher and we didn’t have time to research the location in advance. Prostitutes smoking on the front steps apologized and moved their takeout containers so we could enter the building. The front desk had a thick glass barrier to protect the clerk. There were people sleeping in the lobby. Tobacco smoke blew in the front door, and it smelled like pot upstairs. A taxi driver yelled at the women in front of the lobby ordering them to NEVER call him again, and there was more sustained yelling in the hallways later as someone wanted her cigarettes back. I am writing to express my deep frustration and dissatisfaction with my recent experience involving the complimentary hotel stay provided by Delta Airlines after I volunteered to give up my seat on August 3, 2024. As a long-term Delta patron, I have always appreciated the airline's commitment to service and customer satisfaction. However, my recent experience has significantly tarnished my perception. Delta provided accommodation at the Grand Motor Inn, located at 72-51 Grand Ave, Maspeth, NY 11378, USA. Unfortunately, this experience was far from satisfactory and raised serious concerns regarding the safety, cleanliness, and professionalism associated with Delta's choice of partner hotels. This place was disgusting and useless. The air conditioning was blazing and there was no lesser option. Blood splatter all over the walls. Not even a blanket provided. Just a bed with a top sheet. Probably got bed bugs too. Towels are made out of paper. WiFi doesn’t work. Hotel room smelled of cigarettes. No food options. Shower took 10-15 mins to heat up. Tv worked but shut off every 30 seconds due to connection issues. Just overall a nightmare.

Decent little hole in the wall for a layover, cheap, temporary hideaway from life or some "brownchickenbrowncow." Don't expect franchise quality ANYTHING. Customer service is decent. Prices vat from "Oh, that's actually not bad" to "You've gotta be freaking kidding!" so I suggest booking at least 2 days early for lower rates. Some rooms try to look decent/recent while others are perpetually 70s. Parking lot is SNUG and street parking is atrocious. About a 7 minute drive to all kinds of foods. Overall, fun little spot.
