Grand Motel

The Grand Motel is a historic motel conveniently located around several restaurants and cute stores and less than an hour from the Grand Canyon. My mother and I stayed here for two nights and we had a very pleasant experience. The motel owner was very friendly and extremely helpful. He gave us great tips on where to go and what to do at the Canyon. He was conversational and funny and not just a robot doing his job. The actual room was small but cozy, and the bed was extremely comfortable. There was a fridge and a microwave in the room, which was convenient, as well as free breakfast in the morning. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay. However, If you are an uptight person, or require frills and fancy decor, this is not the place for you. Otherwise I would recommend this place to anyon

What a wonderful stay we had. The atmosphere was old Route 66. Even though the New Owners are in the process of remolding the room was very nice. The bed was so comfortable and the out- side patio served our needs completely. We enjoyed the morning continental breakfast with a good variety of food. The new owner was so friendly and helpful for interesting sights around the area and very knowledgeable about food establishments and the Grand Canyon. I would highly recommend this Motel for anyone interested in a quiet, nice and friendly place to stay. I only rated it a 4 since it is still under upgrading. We will be going back for sure.

We enjoyed the quiet simplicity and retro vibe of this hotel, the first built in Williams on old Route 66, just an hour from the Grand Canyon. Friendly owner takes great pride in the motel, which he is continually restoring, as it is listed in the National Registry of Historic Places. Owner is also very helpful in providing info on sites to see in the area. Room was small, but big enough, very clean; bed was great.

This place was great. FULL of history. I love these kind of places. The beds were one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! Rich (the owner ) is the person to ask about anything happening around the area, where to go what to see. He is a fountain of information! This has got to be the friendliest hotel owner ever. He will do anything he can to accommodate you. Wonderful wonderful place to stay. It's still a diamond in the rough but the new owners have been working on it and is still the place to go even while undergoing the small repairs. Its so quaint and just a perfect place to settle down for a night or two during your trip to the Grand Canyon. You won't be sorry staying here in fact, you will want to stay here again and again. I fell in love with this place and this town.

My husband and I stayed here for one night after a day at the Grand Canyon. The owner was very nice and helpful, and though he was apologetic for it I had no problem with and rather appreciated their ongoing renovations to get the hotel back to its original appearance. Clean rooms, with new beds, and quiet atmosphere. Definitely will be returning.
