Beautiful location with a great hike into the area. Trail is clear and visible at the end of the summer. We didn't find the best place to actually set up camp as well as we'd have liked, but that's nature for you. No open fires but you can have a stove. Fish in the lake (see regulations though) Would recommend for an introduction hike, probably not for small children on cool days though as the ridge gets big wind gusts.
Quite the hike to go back up to the trail head at Obstruction Point, but it was worth it. Be careful if you are a bug magnet, particularly in July. I was covered in deet, but still got completely covered in bites.
Beautiful spot to overnight after a relatively short (somewhat brutal) hike in. Site #2 has a lovely view of the lake, across a nice meadow.
Worth the steep 3.5 mile walk for a swim
