Stayed 1 night here in June. Our favorite night during our tour of the PNW. Stayed in Codfish Cottage. Such a cute cabin, had everything we needed. Relaxing and beautiful.
Staid at the Hillcrest Cabin for one night, after spending the day exploring the nearby Salt Creek Recreation Area. ||The cabin was really nice, and well-maintained. The cabin is small, so I'm not sure I'd want to stay here with 4 people, though there is a lot of space to spread out outside, in warmer weather. Didn't use the mini kitchen, but it seemed well equipped. Even with the freezing temperatures, it was nice and warm inside. Wi-Fi was working. ||Communication with the people running the place was a bit hit or miss, but I got all the instructions I needed in an initial email (skipped the part where they asked me to send a copy of my driver's license by email)...||I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, when in the area!
I used to come here twice a year, this was my happy place. Unfortunately prices have gone up significantly as they've built more structures (ie tent pads to A frames, cottages), but the amenities are the same (no showers, no bathroom). The views are phenomenal but cost wise it is not worth $150+ to stay in an A frame. Unfortunately we love in a region where plenty of people will pay this and prices will continue to go up. Disappointed that this place has decreased in accessibility in price point. Time to move on.
Booked A frame cabin, basic shelter. I feel prices are too high for these . I feel like they overcharged for a basic shelter cabin, no bathroom, no bed, no running water or electricity and we paid 150 a night...I looked at pricing for August and prices are almost half! Complete rip off. The only thing good about this place is views. Otherwise this place needs work everything was falling apart.
I booked this cabin based on the photos and it blew me away, but when I got there and saw it in person it was even better. I paid for the firewood bundle for $7 but once it got dark we went to start a fire and it was empty. We even brought our own marshmallows and fire starters so that was a big disappointment on a cold and dry night. Would recommend bringing your own wood from town if you want a fire. The room was as shown, when I checked in the heaters are set to max of 80 for some reason and took a while to cool off. Comfortable bedding. No privacy at all, you see all the people next to you and below you. Lots of hills to walk if you want to get to beach and depending where you stay, my cabin was fine, but anything past that would be hard. As others have said, don’t count on the WiFi
