Grand Colonial Bed and Breakfast

This bed and breakfast was such a wonderful experience! The rooms were comfortable and clean. There was a coffee/tea/hot chocolate cart in the hallway. The house itself was brilliantly decorated and had elements of old charm. The breakfast was delightful with huge portions and many food choices. We spent a day at the Herkimer Diamond Mine and this bed and breakfast was the perfect way to relax and wind down after a busy day. I recommend Mike's Grand Colonial Bed and Breakfast to anyone looking for a safe, clean, comfortable, unique place to stay.

My husband and I loved the Grand Colonial. Our room was very clean and cozy and so quiet. We felt like we were the only ones there. Mike keeps the place in great shape and it is adorable. He prepared breakfast every morning, it was yummy and we choose every morning what we wanted. We brought our dog and there is a huge fenced yard in the back to toilet the dog that was so convenient.

This place was quaint and charming, Mike was so friendly and an amazing cook! Great experience! And sweet Brick really made our morning. The bed was so comfy and everything was perfect!

Mike and Brick were awesome! Very friendly and accommodating with a delicious breakfast to boot. The room was clean and nicely decorated. Excited to come back!

My mom and I stayed at the Grand Colonial last November and we absolutely loved it! I'm from Georgia so I was a little in shock from the cold weather but the Grand Colonial was so cozy and warm. We stayed in the Empire Room. The bed was nice and soft and it was wonderful to melt into at the end of the night. I use to stay at my grandfather's and my aunt's when I would visit Herkimer and Ilion as a child and I felt that same cozy, safe, and inviting feeling while I was at the Grand Colonial. Also the breakfast is incredible, and to this day we still talk about how good Mike's breakfast was. I don't think I'll ever find a breakfast that delicious again unless I stay at the Grand Colonial. If you're a local, do a staycation and enjoy the breakfast, seriously! Mike is a great host! Super fri
