If you want a truly beautiful place to stay, decent views on half the hotel, a good city view from the roof lounge, love original art and eclectic design, this might be a good fit. For the price, I would’ve loved to stay at the hotel and do more on property (spa service, pool lounging, fine dining). However, aside from a wine tasting room with their own labels and a signature candle, the aesthetic of the hotel is about all they have to offer. All they same, we did enjoy our stay (wedding night and honeymoon weekend). While we didn’t actually request upgrades to our stay, I did hope they would comp a bottle of wine or a small basket of some kind upon being made aware that this was a wedding night at time of reservation, but they did not seem to care really, which is fine I guess. I don't have the words to describe how fantastic this hotel is! From the moment you pull into valet parking until the moment you check out, the entire experience is perfect. The staff are so friendly and attentive! From the valet, to the front desk, room service, and everything in between, they're amazing. They really go above and beyond to make sure your stay is top notch! And the decor and ambiance is unmatched. Such fabulous art everywhere! We've stayed here more than once and can't wait to stay again!! (Thank you to Sam for helping us with our booking!! He's more wonderful than words can explain.)

The hotel is clean, very nicely decorated. The art is fun to look at as you walk through the hotel. First I would like to talk about the cafe that is open for breakfast. The food is a nice start to the day. The best parts of visiting the cafe are the two employees that served and greeted us every morning. Gilly and Pande put a smile on our faces every morning. As we entered they always greeted us with a big hello. They always went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. If staying at this hotel make sure to start your morning off here. Even if you are not, stop by and meet these two remarkable gentlemen. |Our room was very nice and was a great size. The only issue was there were noises at all times of the day and night. It sounded like there was work being done above us.

We had the pleasure of staying a couple of nights in late January. Weather was terrible (snow in Charleston) so most of the town was shut down. We had 2 dinners at Eleve and then a wine tasting with Eric. Dinners were great. Service was wonderful. The highlight was the time with Eric. He is knowledgeable and very good at helping us understand wine and our tastes. We had two nights with him and I would highly recommend staying at the hotel just for time in his wine bar. Great job!

This is a really nice hotel, but I am sorry to say it, a room without a window is not legal anywhere but here for many reasons! We felt claustrophobic, not safe with no egress, unable to get fresh air for my hot flash at night and unable to see if was raining outside. In the morning, the room feels dark and one can not tell the sun has come up. The hotel is nice, staff is very friendly and accommodating and location is good. But in all our travels we have never had a room with no window. This is not legal in most states and actually not legal for private residences in SC, so why would a $500 a night hotel think this is ok for paying guests at a luxury hotel? Nonetheless, the room was quite nicely appointed and comfortable. We attempted to use the gym but it was closed for renovation and w
