Grand Beach Resort Hotel

Were here in the winter and I must admit its fantastic so far. The pool and hot tub are great. Pool is warm thank god. The rooms seem pretty nice minus a hole in the head board of the queen bed. Room 116 is a beach view and its pretty to see the big girl all frozen. We scored this room pretty cheap probably because of the off season. Breakfast is a little weird. You pick a package and they bring it to your door in the morning. Only hot option is a jimmy deans breakfast Sammy but thats alright.

I had sensed that this had been a great place in the not so distant past but was a disappointment to people revisiting it. I can see why. We paid top dollar for our 2nd floor room with a balcony over looking the beach and the room itself was a nice size, beds were comfortable, newer carpet, room was sufficiently clean, plumbing worked (it’s amazing how many places don’t have fully functioning plumbing), and the AC was quiet and worked well. What was disappointing was the sliding door out to the balcony (I could’t close it, it was so stiff), the condition of the furnishing and bathroom interior, the skimpy cups provided (2 plastic and 2 styrofoam) and the boxed breakfast. Having actual glasses and ceramic mugs would have been nice and expected, given the hefty nightly rental fee. They reall

Great service, friendly staff, beds were comfortable and the pillows were top tier! The pool and hot tub were large, and clean! beautiful view of lake Michigan. Breakfast is served in individual boxes directly to your door in the morning. I do wish there were more hot meal options for breakfast, or moree options in general. I wish they had the standard continental breakfast, even if they kept it small. We plan on returning in the summer. Very cozy, very family friendly!

The suite was huge, it was great for the kids and us the pool area and hot tube was also great, breakfast at the door without having to get dressed and go out of your room just adds an extra sense of care

Even though the rooms are a little dated and the shower's pressure is sparser than one would like, the bed is super comfy and the staff are A+! We also loved that we could chose our breakfast and breakfast delivery time...much nicer than having to get dressed and eat in front of strangers who are still in their pajamas. The view from our room was wonderful, as well!
