Graco Oakes

In a word: awesome, for it's literal meaning -- I was awestruck at how wonderful this place was. The sunsets are gorgeous over the lake. The cabins (at least the Main) are quaint and cozy with it's own private boat dock and bathroom. Located close to the common house and wood pile for easy access to all the games (definitely play Monkey Golf) and roaring nighttime fires. We had an absolutely wonderful time!

We have an annual ice fishing/family get together at the "Graco Cabin" each January. Look forward to it each year!

Wonderful experience! We stayed in the South Cabin located next to the bait house. The cabin is dated, but clean and pleasant. Kitchen cooking area is small but fully stocked with dishes, cookware, and appliances. The living room area has 2 futons and 2 sitting chairs. There is only one shower and one toilet but 2 hand sinks. There are two bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has 1 full bed and 2 twin bunks. Bedroom 2 has 2 full beds, a twin bed, and 2 twin bunks. Each bedroom has a door to the outside fire pit area that overlooks the lake. Outside, on the deck, is a table and 5 chairs. There is a charcoal grill, private fire pit and picnic table at each cabin. Lots of activities for the family! To name a few, we enjoyed the watercraft (kayaks, canoes, paddle boats), lawn golf, ping pong in the rec room

I had a great time! Office and cabins were surprisingly close together. We had neighbors and a few outdoor activities like a volleyball and basketball court. Motor boats kayaks and paddle boats were also available for everyone. And also great firewood and live bait supply. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of visibility during night time in the back of the cabin. But the front had lights which was useful.

Not the newest most pristine cabins but it was cool, clean and bug/rodent free. What’s really nice is the fish house (see pics) with fridge, cleaning station, minnow tanks, nets, whole buncha life jackets, motor boats, paddle boats, kayaks. Docks are in great shape. There is a nice game room and ping pong table too. See pics. Nice small lake, there weren’t any jet skiers when we were there. My only suggestion is to have the DNR stock it with more walleyes and northern.
