My stay at Governors Inn in Tallahassee, Florida, was absolutely fantastic! This charming boutique hotel offers a unique blend of historic charm, modern comfort, and Southern hospitality, making it an unforgettable experience. The location is perfect, right in the heart of downtown Tallahassee, just steps away from the Florida State Capitol, the Supreme Court, and a variety of shops and restaurants. The hotel’s central position makes it easy to explore all that Tallahassee has to offer. What makes Governors Inn truly special is its rich history. The building was originally constructed in the 1920s as a stable and warehouse, and in the 1980s, it was transformed into the boutique hotel it is today. The hotel has preserved many of its original features, including exposed brick walls, wooden

I was not sure what to expect when booking our vacation at "The Governor's Inn" for my daughter's week of band camp at Florida's A & M University. But my goodness I was soo pleasantly surprised! It was raining when we arrived as well as our departure and for both someone came out to greet us and help with and umbrella and hands for our luggage! So much personalized attention from the moment we got in to the moment we left! Every single staff member from Jay to Noah, Desiree, Cyrus, Denise and of course not forgetting the most attentive of all Akane & Angelique! They were all so professional & helpful! Jay even helped put on windshield wipers on my car! They didn't have the ingredients for my jalapeño mint Margherita but when I brought what we needed back Cyrus was sure to put his maste

Love the downtown location near the capital. Was difficult to find close parking and difficult to drop off luggage at the entrance. The man at the front desk was not very personable or eager to help. The room looked old and very used. The tile on the bathroom floor had lots of chips in them. The TV in our room did not work. They offered to switch rooms for us but it was too late in the evening to be reasonable. Breakfast buffet is not being served due to Covid but there is a bagged breakfast option. The internet is spotty and had difficulty streaming a video call—disappointing. Was way overpriced for what was provided.

We were in town to attend a conference at the Capitol and so happy this hotel was arranged for us. For parking you have to use the valet but it really is worth. We didn't need the car once we parked it because everything we needed was within walking distance. Richard, the manager made us feel right at home. He got us checked in quickly and even though we missed the manager Happy Hour he still honored it. They have a nice assortment of local beers as well as wine. He was great host. The rooms are all uniquely decorated. I stayed in Governor Branch and I thought it was best room of the 4. They have a wonderful breakfast and it is self serve but not your basic continental breakfast. We all truly enjoyed our stay thanks to Richard and if in town again plan to stay here! We loved the decor of

Lovely hotel in an historic building with a very friendly and helpful staff in an excellent centrally located location. I definitely recommend the valet service which is an up charge to your room rate as the nearest parking is a garage a block or so away which will cost you about the same amount. Very nice breakfast included with my stay, although they do end it a bit early, so set your alarm accordingly if you wish to partake. I noticed several parties being turned away for arriving late to breakfast. Beds are extremely comfortable, and although the television system is a bit quirky, the staff was quick to come to my room and show how to use it. Be aware that rates very extraordinarily due to activities occurring in Tallahassee. I’ve paid as little as $71 and I’ve seen rates as high as $
