Our food experience was terrible. Waited in buffet line for 20 minutes due to fact they ran out of food. Roast beef came out rare and not edible.||Potatoes were burned and grilled Caesar had no dressing with limp lettuce.||Corporate event spent several $100 per person for a totally inedible meal. One bartender for 50 guests. Took 15 minutes for a drink order.||Will never return.

We had an absolutely beautiful dining experience at the Bistro at the Goodstone Inn & Restaurant in Middleburg. The setting feels like stepping into the French countryside, quiet, refined, and romantic. The food matched the atmosphere perfectly. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, but the brie appetizer was truly to die for. Creamy, warm, perfectly balanced, it was one of those starters you immediately start planning to order again before you have even finished it. And the Steak Oscar, I can't even, it was so delicious. Our server, Saxon, was wonderful. She was attentive without hovering, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely warm. As a wedding photographer, The Goodstone Inn is always at the top of my venue list. The property is absolutely stunning, with beautiful gardens, rolling Virginia countryside, and timeless stone architecture that photographs perfectly in every season. The team is incredible to work with, and the entire venue creates such a relaxed, elegant experience for couples and vendors alike. If you’re looking for a romantic Virginia wedding venue with breathtaking scenery and amazing service, Goodstone is truly one of the best.

It’s hard to even know where to start when reflecting back on my experience with Goodstone Inn for our wedding on November 15th 2025. I’ve always known I wanted to get married in Middleburg, and the Goodstone Inn was our first tour last September. Jennifer took my fiance and parents and I around the property, and I canceled the rest of my tours on the spot. Goodstone has the most charming and peaceful presence about it that makes you never want to leave. It’s sprawling and stunning, and each location on the property has its own history and unique identity. This is no cookie-cutter, generic venue, it’s timeless and historic, and has an identity of its own. I wasn’t here for the room but for a brunch. Unfortunately the reviews are consistent on one thing: timely manner of staff attending to their guests nonperiodically~ they tend to seat you and then vanish for goodness how long~ long enough where two people can have a long conversation and then you have nothing more to talk about and you’re looking around awkward. I made a reservation prior and we were the only ones there. Understanding if there might be new hostesses or new cooks taking a bit more time, we’d like to know so we may understand the slowness~ while right after you receive your food, they immediatly come by as if to make up for lost times and ask how the food is before you’ve even picked up your fork.
