Horse stalls and plenty of trails. I have been here twice and will return. Becky and her sister are great to visit with and have a lot of knowledge on the area.
Perfect spot close to Gila National Forest and Cliff Dwellings National Monument. Hot showers, a hot tub powered by natural thermal hot springs, and a beautiful view overlooking horse pasture and bluffs. If you have an RV or camper van, this is the best location just minutes from the cliff dwellings and breathtaking hiking trails. Water and electric hookup available. Doc Campbell’s store has snacks and small selection of groceries. Fill up gas in Silver City!
I had a very enjoyable time. Great views. All the hook ups you need. Very Clean Showers and bathrooms. Decent pricing, they accommodate small vehicles and welcome walk-ins. Hosts Denisha and Jhon are fun, charismatic and really helpful with any questions or request. I was able to rent a fire grill and buy wood from Jhon so I can cook my Juicy Smoky Steaks. Ask him for cooking tips. He knows his stuff. Got to meet a couple of the Ranch owners. Very lovely people all around and they keep everyone safe. Awesome place to relax. double thumbs up!
This is the closet RV site to the Gila NM. We had two nights here and it is very quiet but January temps are cold overnight. We experienced 8F or minus 12C so run your heaters and have plenty of Propane because you can’t buy it here. Closest is Silver City, three hours away. There are two toilet/showers with excellent hot water. There is a hot tub but it was locked up ? There is a shop across the road but it closes at 400pm exactly and not open Monday’s in winter. And don’t use Road 15, too tight for RV, only access via Road 35. The days are grand though and Gila National Monument (dwellings) is a must see. If you have time, drop down to the river nearby and experience the thermal pools.
My husand and I just got back from 10 days at Gila Hot Springs Ranch and RV Park, which is in the middle of two National Wilderness areas of over 200,000 acres and just 3 miles south of the Gila Cliff Dwelling National Monument, all of which are within the Gila National Forest. It was a great place to stay---a geothermal jacuzzi outdoors but walled for privacy, 2 full bathrooms with geothermically warmed floors, geothermally hot and plain old cold water at each campsite, a gorgeous canyon wall of crags and spires to watch the sun/moon rise over, wild flowers everywhere even though it's October (recent rains woke them up), and lots of cool hikes even for laid back hikers like us (we don't usually go over 4 miles) to hike daily. One day we hiked some of the Middle Fork trail from the Gila C
