Gene's Motel

So to start we arrived at 2am after driving 6.5 hours requested a non smoking room. We had room 212 We went to park we just wanted to go to bed to have a lady come out of her room (ground level all the way to the left) telling us we cant park where we parked stated that’s “her” parking spot and her car was just in the shop to which I said it 2am we just want to go to sleep we will be gone by 10am then turned to my husband and told him it was fine to which she then said no you need to move your car. Just ended up moving the car. To the room it was nice and clean. Only problem is we requested a non smoking room and the first thing we could smell when we walked in was cigarettes. The gentleman in the office was kind and quick to check us in.

The hotel room was filthy. The pillows were filthy. There were cigarette buts on the floor. Carpet was dirty. No garbage bin. No hangers to put your clothes. The chairs were filthy. The fridge was not cleaned for a while and it had hairs.

Clean and very nice innkeeper his wife and him And housekeeping is very nice. We stayed while our condo was worked on

I spent one night at Gene’s. I didn’t know what to expect because I couldn’t find reviews online. |The price seemed decent for a 2bd room, and I didn’t expect much but I must say I was pleasantly surprised.|I stayed in room 210. It was a large room with 2 queen size beds and lots of space. |Fridge and microwave were functional. AC as well. Bed was comfortable, linens were clean. Towels are small though; that and the one ply toilet paper are my only negative points. But everything was clean and in order. Water pressure in the shower was excellent.|One of the things that’s super useful is the plus outlet on the desk; there’s a regular outlet, a European outlet and 2 USB ports. |Overall a great pick. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The rooms were stuffy, and the bed linens were dirty. The refrigerator wouldn't get cold and the air-conditioning unit was loud and kept me up most of the night. In addition to having to wait a while for clean linen and then had to make up my bed myself. I kept my room clean because they never came to see if we needed anything.
